I love my green smoothies every morning (although the recipe varies each day!) the base is similar: kale, spinach, an apple, a hint of lemon juice, celery and cucumber. Occasionally I add a some carrots or whatever else I find in my kitchen!

ReplyDelete8 oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2 shots espresso, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 scoop of protein, 6 frozen coffee or almond milk ice cubes, 1 Tbs Chia Seeds, 3 Tbds cacoa, and 2 Tbs Maca powder. It is so good! I'll also add some greens to it too :) I love it. Love your blog too & all the fitness/health knowledge I have gained from it!

DeleteMy FAVE smoothie is thick, delicious naopolitan inspired, chocolate, vanilla & strawberry dream. I make mine EXTRA thick so I can eat with a spoon.
ReplyDeleteBase recipe:
1/2 large banana, frozen and chopped
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
2 tbsp organic cacao
1/2 scoop vanilla flavoured vegan protein
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
Some added extras I like throw in for that extra nutrient hit:
Chia seeds
Handful or two of baby spinach
Almonds
Organic shredded coconut
Blend until smooth. Serve topped with more coconut and a few berries.
