So you all heard about the news throughout the week? One word. COURAGE.

Dani Stevens from Fitness Food And Style to ride for RTCC

Courage is the ability to confront fearpaindangeruncertainty, or intimidationPhysical courage is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, death, or threat of death, while moral courage is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shamescandal, or discouragement.

Angelina had an 87% risk of getting breast cancer so she opted to get a mastectomy. You can read all about it HERE. What got me is was what she wrote;

"I can tell my children they don't need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer".

Which made me think, I don't want to be that statistic and certainly don't want to be doing something when it's too late.

That is why I am doing this and challenging Richard to come join me. Will you please share the love and like this picture with all your family and friends, so I can reach my 1 million likes?

Richard Branson will you ride with us in Australia if I get 1 million likes to end cancer?

I know there are so many challenges going on out there.  The month of May is jam packed including our #ffsphotoaday challenge and the new fab ab core toner.

Dani Stevens ab workout

I have seriously dropped the ball with my no added sugar and I reckon I've smashed 2 blocks of marvellous cadbury chocolate since my last post. Seriously. I am not joking. I will be taking a before picture so I can be living proof that trying to maintain your fit lifestyle is as hard as trying to lose weight.

Even though the fitness program I follow simply works, as soon as you drop the ball and get into your bad habits, your body changes. It's time to do the amazing transformation challenge workout, come and join me. It's the best 12 weeks of your life.

We are away this weekend in Melbourne for our 7 year wedding anniversary so I look forward to touching base with you all next week.

If you were told you have an 87 percent chance of developing breast cancer, what would you do?

Much love and friendship xxDani

Weight loss story Transformation Tuesday with Samer Delgado

I love it when my male readers share their new lifestyle changes. Here is Samer who recognised his poor lifestyle choices and has done something to change it for the better.

Have a read of his story.....

Weight loss and healthy lifestyle story with Samer Delgado

How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

I am 28 years old. I started my fitness journey february 2011 when I realized I was throwing my life away by smoking a whole pack of cigarets a day while seating at home watching the days go by and eating fast food. I had to do something so I quit cigarets cold turkey and joined the gym. Now this is my lifestyle and my job.

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

I use to eat anything hat wasn't healthy. I hated vegetables and anything else that was good for the body. I loved fry foods, Chinese food, pizza, bacon, fast food.

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I play volleyball, baseball, basketball and I am a bar athlete. When I was a kid I did swimming, water polo, diving, and rollerblading.

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

My biggest interest and passion in live is fitness. When I found fitness I feel like I found me. I'm also a father to two beautiful girls 9 and 7 and I am devoted to my children. I try to make fitness fun for them so that they can too be future healthy and fit adults.

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

The biggest thing that made me take on this lifestyle was probably the fact that I was becoming a horrible example for my kids. I also felt like I had no purpose in life anymore. I lived a boring and dry life. That all changed when I took on fitness.

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

Over the next year I hope to trai with some of my biggest inspirations like the guys from barstarzz and my other mentors from California. I also want to take my Personal Training career to the next level by opening my own training studio.

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

The biggest thing to remember when it comes to transforming your life and body is that it isn't by any means easy or fast. U shouldn't rush the process. Live it and enjoy it.

Thank you so much Samer and I am looking forward to following your page updates. If you would like to follow Samer, please do so;

Sir Richard Branson will you ride with us to conquer cancer?

Hello everyone, you may remember my post HERE about my surprise photo shoot? My lovely friends at Lorna Jane were super kind to let me wear their active gear for a photo shoot I was doing for Richard Branson.

I have signed up for something very amazing. Yes. It's truly amazing. I am riding with thousands of cyclists to conquer cancer once and for all.

Our sensational captain Klaus Bartosch along with other phenomenal cyclists are called THE VISION CRUSADERS. We are attempting something that has never been done before. We are all dreamers and I have been told I can't do this but you know what? I WILL DO THIS!!!! 200kms, 6 races nationwide (and New Zealand) and per person we need $2,500 per ride to enter the fundraiser. I will do Every. Single. Ride. The Grand Slam and need your support as I start my campaign.

Here they all are!!!!

Rides to be Completed and seeking sponsorship:

(click on links for details or to donate)

I need everyone's support, especially with this picture that has been posted today on Facebook

Please like this picture HERE

So what's this cycling stuff really all about? Well here is a letter to the amazing man himself who inspired me as a young adult "Whatever business you are in, every company can shoot for the stars in their own way".

Sir Richard Branson will you come ride with us?

So here's me shooting for the highest star out there.....

Dear Sir Richard

My name is Daniela and I'm a fitness blogger based in Australia. My blog www.fitnessfoodandstyle.blogspot.com.au is only young and I've 80,000 people following me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest. I love that my food and fitness challenges are inspiring others worldwide to make great changes in their lives, much like reading your Screw it, Let's Do it did for me 7 years ago. Thank you!

Currently I'm involved in a massively exciting campaign to fight cancer, a cause I have great passion for. I've joined with an amazing team of cyclists - all ordinary people, some cancer survivors - and we are riding to rid the world of Cancer. It's a big and bold goal but our team is determined to make a difference through completing all 6 of the Ride to Conquer Cancer events being held across Australia and in New Zealand this year.

Our team -  Vision Crusaders Grand Slam - will ride in all 6 of the RTCC events this year which will mean more than 1200km,  pedaling over 12 days through August to November. Each rider has to raise at least $15,000 plus cover their travel costs, and to date there are 27 riders wanting to ride in the Grand Slam team. There's expected to be total of around 12,000 cyclists participate across the 6 rides. Awesome, don't you think?

During your visit here in Australia, I'm hoping that you might help us do what could become your biggest achievement yet, helping to rid the world of cancer! Can you imagine how wonderful a world with out cancer would be!

Completing the RTCC Grand Slam is a massive challenge and we already have some Virgin brands supporting us, but knowing that you are personally contributing your interest would ensure that we actually pull it off. Primarily what I am asking is to have your encouragement but cheekily this is an invitation to have you join us for one or all of these rides as a member of our Vision Crusaders Grand Slam team. Are you keen?

I do hope that this is something you might consider and I look forward to hearing from you.

Much love and friendship from Australia,
Daniela Stevens

Thank you for your time my beautiful readers and please LIKE this page and picture. I want to get 1 million likes and make a YouTube video to follow up with this picture to Sir Richard Branson.

PS: for those wondering why I am doing this? I don't want to be a statistic. I have had family members die and thankfully others survived. I need you to help me so we can raise as much ridiculous funds to conquer cancer once and for all. For those reading this and know of any sponsors that would love to personally sponsor me, please email me with the subject title: CANCER SPONSORSHIP. I will love you FOREVER!!!!  dani@fitnessfoodandstyle.com.au

Fitness Food And Style Photo A Day Challenge Day 7. Salad

Hello my beautiful people. Today I thought it was Wednesday. I have been so ahead of myself for some reason, so much going on.

I need to write them all down. However I turn to you here. How are you?

I have been really slack, I need to lift my game. I have been eating chocolate nearly EVERY DAY!!! Waaaaa? I hear you say. Yes. Cho-ko-lade (pronounced shhhh-oko-lard). Did I mention ice cream as well. Yes. Ice-cream as well. BAD. Very bad, in fact I am so addicted I wanted some tonight but it's all gone. PHEW!!! Otherwise I'd be smashing another block of cadbury creations. Here's the deal, you buy it and have it in your pantry, you will eat it. Don't buy it and you won't. That's how I roll anyway. So I have to stop. Tonight. NOW!

Day 7. Salad

I am loving our #ffsphotoaday challenge and all the pictures in the gallery. I updated yesterdays Day 6. back so you can check them out here.

Quinoa vegetable salad with salmon

I experimented tonight as I typically make a big batch of quinoa so we have it for our breakfast and savoury meals. So once we grilled the salmon, I simply cooked the quinoa in chicken stock and with all the pan juices from the salmon, I mixed that with the quinoa. Added some lemon juice and then added the garlic sautéed broccoli and carrots in the mix and Mmmmmm.....tasty!!!!

Super quick meal, as the quinoa takes 15 minutes to cook and that's how long the vegetables were sautéing and fish was done on the barby.

Fitness

Healthy Living with Fitness Food And Style

Even though I run around like a headless chook with my little peeps, I feel like I am working out constantly. This isn't a workout. I really have dropped the ball these last few days and haven't really done a proper workout, nor have I been eating properly (mainly over indulging in chocolate and ice creams). Seriously, it doesn't take much time. I only workout 15 minutes per day but my days are just flying. I need to start allocating "me" time again.

It's funny. I think it's harder to maintain your body when you have reached your goal. In fact you start seeing those flaws appear or rather the cadbury chocolate layer. I can't stress how important consistency is. It's the key of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Okay.

A new mini challenge has to begin. That's what I am all about right? Challenges. So from this day I QUIT SUGAR!!! Well added sugar. Like our challenge a couple of months ago. Check it out here.

Who's with me, lets do it for 5 days.

Weight loss Transformation Tuesday interview with Crystal Martinez

This hot Chiquita needs no introduction, she is one motivated and inspiring young lady who just woke up one morning and had enough of how she looked and most importantly felt. Let me introduce you to beautiful Crystal Martinez from Spoonful Of Fit;

Transformation Tuesday with Crystal Martinez

How old are you and please can you share your health and fitness journey to date?

I am 26 and fell in love with fitness in December 2011. I wanted to live to be the best I could be, both inside and out, so I started lifting and eating clean and lost 20 pounds in the process.

What types of foods did you used to eat as a kid and young adult? What's changed since then?

I don’t think I ate any vegetables until my early twenties. I was a picky eater when I was younger. I ate a lot of processed foods marketed towards kids from Lunchables to Lucky Charms and fruit snacks. In my teens, I ate a ton of fast food. In my early twenties, I tried eating healthy to me, that was Lean Cuisines and fat-free/low-fat everything.  Now I finally know what clean eating is and eat only unprocessed and chemical free foods and tons of vegetables.
J

Do you play any sports or what sports do you like watching?

I used to play volleyball, softball, Taekwondo, and did cheerleading growing up. Now, I just focus on weightlifting and running sprints out at the track.

What are your interests, passion and what makes you smile?

Fitness and food are my two biggest passions, so that makes the gym and the kitchen like home to me. I love creating healthy recipes and cooking for my family and friends. Every time someone makes a recipe of mine or messages me to tell me that I have helped them, I smile so big.

What was the catalyst that sparked your lifestyle change?

When I looked into the mirror one morning, not being able to fit into any of my jeans, and I felt and looked unhappy and unhealthy, that’s when I realized I needed a lifestyle change. I made up my mind to change and never looked back.

What are some of your dreams/goals you hope to achieve over the next 12 months?

I just became a NASM-CPT, so I am looking forward to making the move to Southern California and transition careers from working in an office cubicle, to being a personal trainer in my dream city, doing what I love to do. I want to empower individuals to be the best version of themselves they can be by making their health a priority and reaching their fitness goals.

What tips would you like to share with my readers about your transformation?

My transformation wasn’t just a transformation of my body. For me, fitness is very much mind, body, and spirit. I transformed on the inside. I grew stronger emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Fitness empowered me to be a stronger woman than I ever thought I could be. It also wasn’t a straight path. There were ups, downs, highs, and lows. This is why it is a journey and a lifestyle. It’s not a straight path, but I am destined to keep trucking along to be the best me I can be.

Thank you so much Crystal and for those that wish to connect with Crystal she has her her own website and blog at www.spoonfuloffit.com. Including her fitness Instagram account @Spoonfuloffit and a Facebook page under the name, Spoonful of Fit.
